Eccentric Sometimes, Fun Always

The Eccentricast is a podcast about, well, just about anything.  Fi and her friends Alex and Chris host the show, which is released once a month.  While this may seem unusual compared to other podcasts I’ve listened to, I can only imagine that there will always be something new in each show.  Two topics that have been brought up in every show so far though are Star Trek and Doctor Who.

Every topic discussed by the girls seems well thought out.  The stories on the other hand sometimes seem spur of the moment.  This isn’t really a problem because whoever isn’t telling the stories usually ends up grilling the storyteller for more details.  These stories tend to be unusual or at least not what I would consider common.  However they have all been unique and enjoyable.  It may even be the fact that they all are laughing that makes it even more enjoyable.

Now besides sci-fi there are a number of segments, such as “Milk milk lemonade”.  However the unfortunate part of these other segments are that I’m not sure what sets them apart from one another.  Instead segment dividers are played and then it seems to be conversations as normal.  Now once again these aren’t bad conversations and they are still enjoyable, just not sure what makes them a segment.  There have been topics that they bring up but then will decide should be skipped.  These range from spoilers to religion.  Now even the times that they drop religious conversations, nothing questionable is mentioned on the podcast so don’t worry about offensive content.

Overall, the show has good topics and always seems to be lighthearted.  Oh and the best selling point that I forgot to mention is their cute accents.  That maybe a personal opinion though.  Regardless, give it a listen and you won’t regret it.
